Activities Professionals

The Meaningful Engagement Program

Older adults with and without cognitive impairment seek opportunities to connect with others in meaningful ways.  The MemPics® book series is scientifically validated and contains 13 different topics. MemPics® books are designed to engage participants who have memory loss in fun and cognitively enhancing activities. These books activate old memories through pictures and conversations about familiar people, places, and events.

This collection of books highlights pictures, stories, and experiences relatable to older adults with and without memory impairments. These books are ideal for older adults who are aging in place at home or residing in skilled nursing facilities or senior living communities.  Using MemPics® and the Grab’N Go books provides over 300 individual and/or group activities that can be done in person, or virtually.

In addition, our Senior Living Essentials Kit will provide the tools needed to provide 1:1 or group programs with older adults aging in place across the entire healthcare, including access to our new 15 For Me® App. Completing memory exercises, physical activities and centered breathing/ meditation offers a comprehensive and proactive approach to maintaining overall brain health. Meaningful Engagement in Dementia Care

The MemPics® book series can be utilized by rehabilitation professionals in individual and/or group therapy sessions to target cognitive-communication and functional cognitive impairments. The MemPics® series can also be used when establishing a cognitive home exercise program to ensure sustainability of cognitive skills. These books are currently being utilized by industry professionals across the healthcare continuum, in acute and post-acute care settings.
